All children are unique and we want to treat them as such. We never make assumptions about your kids based on gender, ethnicity, age or physical ability. We will do our best to main-stream all students; if we are unable to handle a situation, we do all we can to help you find alternate care.
I am always open and ready to handle the day-to-day care of your children. On the occasion your child is out, our costs do not go down. I have already planned for meals, activity and do not offer a refund or credits for days not used.
I will contact you and ask that your child be picked up within 1 hour if the following symptoms are present:
A child may return to childcare after all of the symptoms have been absent for 24 hours. View the Central District Health Department's policy on keeping childcare facilities healthy.
Written permission must be obtained before administering any medication, (prescription or non-prescription).
We want our children to be as healthy as possible, and in a family environment like ours, diseases are spread if ALL children are not protected. We have a "STRONGLY ADVISE TO IMMUNIZE" policy - all children accepted into Let them be little Child Care should be immunized according to the Central District Health Department's recommended schedule. We have two weeks to have complete records on a child after enrollment, so be prepared to bring in your records!
Exceptions are allowed for personal, medical or religious reasons. We request that this form be completed each year for immunization exemption.
All kids need guidelines; we never publicly shame a child. We effectively use redirection techniques in most cases. When discipline is required, we use our calming chair (time-out) in age-appropriate increments; usually one minute per year of your child's age.
All children are unique and respond differently to discipline. If our simple time-out strategy is not effective, we will schedule a conference with parents and staff to work out a successful plan of action.
We serve a nutritious breakfast, hot lunch and two snacks daily, with a focus on whole grains, fruits and vegetables, and variety. If a special diet is needed, it must be provided by the parent on a daily basis.
We serve 2% milk; any other strength or special milk required (such as soy) must be provided by the family. We also serve meat, dairy, citrus and nut products. However, we do keep nut products to a minimum and strictly control them to minimize exposure.
We respect all religions and will do our best to help your child celebrate your unique family holiday traditions. Parents are encouraged to share those special traditions. Childcare services will be closed on the following holidays:
New Year’s Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
All other holidays childcare services will be provided and charged for your child not attending.
Other Closures: If I take any additional days off for vacation, illness, doctor, dental, family emergency, training or workshops, etc., parents do not pay. I do my best for my doctor and dental appointments so they do not interfere with my childcare service hours. Parents are responsible to have back-up care available in case of these closings. I will give parents a 4 week notice prior to taking time off for vacation or appointments so parents can make other arrangements. For illness, family emergencies, or something that is out of my control, I will give as much notice as I can. I will notify you by phone call, text and email.
Let Them Be Little is open Monday - Friday from 7:00am - 6:00pm I am closed on the weekends. Families enrolled at “Let Them Be Little” are given a 5 minute grace period for pick ups. After 5:35pm, you will be charged a late fee of $15.00 for every 10 minutes per occurrence, example: if you are 20 minutes late a $30.00 fee will be applied. This fee will need to be paid in full, the following business day, in order for your child to return. If late pick ups occur frequently, I may need to terminate childcare services.
Transportation/Arrival Changes for School Age & Kindergarten children MUST be reported 30 minutes prior to dismissal of your child’s School day. Failure to report these changes will result in a charge of $15.00 fee, per occurrence.
In the event I have to track down your Child(ren) at school due to not reporting a schedule change or failure to notify me they have already been picked up, will result in a $15.00 finders fee (Per Child)
The first two weeks (excluding the weekend) from the child's start date is a probationary period to see if it is a good fit for the provider, parents and child(ren). This agreement may be terminated at any time during this period from the provider or parents for any reason. If the parent violates the contract for any reason and they were required to put a two-week hold deposit down to hold the child's spot , it will be forfeited. After the probationary period, this agreement may be terminated by either party by giving two-week’s written notice if the child or children are to be permanently withdrawn from Let Them Be Little Child Care. Two week’s pay will be accepted in lieu of the two-week’s written notice. The provider will also give the Family two–week’s written notice of intent to cancel this agreement except in cases of family emergency (Provider’s) or gross misconduct on the part of the parent or child. The contract will stay in effect until either party gives notice to terminate. Failure to follow the agreement rules in the contract may be cause for immediate termination without notice. Provider will give the Family a minimum of four-week written notice of any increase in fees or significant changes to the signed agreement. Any and all additions/changes to the contract must be in writing and signed by both the parent and the provider to be valid.
